Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is Synergy Consulting NV, a company incorporated under Belgian law, with its registered office at De Kleetlaan 5BC, 1831 Diegem, Belgium — company and VAT number BE 0860.472.944.

For any question about this policy or to exercise a right described below, write to privacy@synergy.be.

2. What this website collects, and why

This website does not ask you to create an account. As of 28 October 2026, this website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Should we deploy non-essential tracking technologies in the future, they will strictly require your prior, explicit consent via a cookie banner in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive. It collects personal data in exactly two situations, both of which you initiate:

  • When you send an enquiry or request an assessment — we receive the name, email address, and any details you choose to type into the form. We use this solely to reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the engagement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • When you email us — we retain pre-contractual correspondence for a maximum of 12 months if an engagement does not materialize.

We do not build advertising profiles, we do not sell personal data, and we do not share your details with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested — IP address, timestamp, requested URL and browser type. This is used to keep the service secure and available, and it is retained for a short period for that purpose only. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Payments

Where a product can be purchased, payment is handled by a specialised payment provider. Synergy never receives or stores your card details.Card data is entered on the payment provider's own secure interface, and that provider is a separate controller for the data it processes. Its own privacy policy applies to that processing.

Downloadable content is supplied immediately. Where you choose to buy, we ask you to consent expressly to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download has begun. You can decline, in which case the download is not supplied instantly and the statutory withdrawal period applies.

5. How long we keep it

We retain pre-contractual correspondence for a maximum of 12 months if an engagement does not materialize. Where an engagement is signed, we keep the contractual and accounting records for the period required by Belgian law (generally seven years for accounting documents).

Client data submitted during any Proof of Concept (PoC) or Readiness Assessment is held in isolated environments and securely destroyed within 30 days of engagement termination.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased where there is no continuing lawful reason to keep it;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format.

Write to privacy@synergy.be. We answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).

7. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

No Public AI Training
Synergy guarantees that personal data and confidential client documentation submitted through this website or during an engagement will never be used to train public Artificial Intelligence systems or external Large Language Models (LLMs). Any AI-assisted processing of client data during an engagement occurs strictly within secure, isolated enterprise environments subject to zero-data-retention policies for model training.

YouTube Video Integration
Our website embeds videos hosted by YouTube, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When you play or interact with these embedded videos, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. We have integrated these videos using YouTube's "Privacy-Enhanced Mode," which means YouTube will not store information about visitors on our website unless they watch the video. However, interacting with the video may still result in Google collecting data for analytics, marketing, or tracking purposes, subject to your cookie preferences. For more information on how Google handles user data, please consult the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
